Inglewood adds Former USC Trojan to it's 2023 Backfield
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (May 14, 2023) -- The Inglewood Blackhawks finished up their 2023 camp with some flair locking in some great rookies, some seasoned veterans, and a plethora of returners to make for a good 2023 season. Today Inglewood signed former USC Trojan, Jame Toland IV for the upcoming GDFL season which kicks off next Saturday in Phoenix Arizona. Toland played under coach Lane Kiffen and was recognized in camp with USC when he blazed a 4.4 second 40 yard dash which put him on the higher end of the radar for the Trojans. Toland played high school ball for Shadow Hills High School where he was set to sign with the University of Pittsburgh but decided on the Trojans which was the dream college for him. As a senior running back and safety, he made the 2021 Cal-Hi Sports All State First Team when he ran for 2,649 yards and 39 touchdowns on 315 carries. "Adding Toland to our backfield gives me so many options when it comes to play calling", stated offensive coordinator Paul McCalope. We're excited to see what he does on the field for us because we rely a lot on our running game to balance out our passing game. Inglewood has a running back room with some talent in it which will make for some great game play come Saturday nights in Inglewood.
