Blackhawks fall 42-40 in GDFL National Championship Shoot-Out


ERIE, PA (September 5, 2021) -- In one of the best played championship games ever, the Inglewood Blackhawks fell short by the score of 42-40 in the GDFL National Championship. The game went back and forth for the entire game with Inglewood coming up short by just a two point conversion. The Blackhawks were led by a plethora of players who all were candidates for game MVP honors. WR Justin Sydney, QB, Robert Fuller, and RB Terrell Alex. The Blackhawks offensive line played a pivotal part in the success of the three players above. Defensively the Blackhawks played well despite the back and forth score. Defensive backs Brian Flowers and Donyae played lights out to keep the game close.


Inglewood finishes the season 10-1 and ranked #2 in the nation. They also finished the season undefeated and back to back champs of the LDFL. Congratulations to the Erie Express on a great game and season.
