Blackhawks Ambush Tigers 34-14 to move to 6-0

VALENICA, Calif. (June 14, 2021) -- The Inglewood Blackhawks moved to 6-0 after defeating the Santa Clarita Tigers by the score of 34-14 in Valencia California. The Blackhawks defense was savage recording three interceptions and 9 sacks. Lee Rodgers, Brian Flowers, and Shaine Boyle all picked off Santa Clarita QB Jermel Woods. Boyle recorded his league leading 6th interception on the season. Four Blackhawks recorded 2 sacks each. David Robins, Kenny Ware, Edwin Flores, and Travis Taylor all dominated from the defensive line. LB's Kache Palacio (7 tackles) and Devin Jones (6 tackles) controlled the middle of the field which limited the Tigers in moving the ball all game.

Offensively Inglewood was led by QB Jimmy Do who threw for 290 and a touchdown while rushing for 77 yards and another TD. Donte Turner, Dezhoentay Fletcher, and Trae Bickham all had rushing touchdowns on the day with Turner leading the ground game with 70 yards on 9 carries. "We're just now starting to hit our stride because we had so many bye dates as well as injuries" stated Blackhawk head coach Tony Reid. I feel like the sculpture is starting to mold and guys are in the, "Go" mode now. We're gonna ride the wave and continue to play good ball.

Inglewood will host the North County Zulus this weekend, June 19th at 7PM at Jackie Robinson Stadium. For ticket information call the Blackhawk team office at 424.262.4510.
