Blackhawks win a Shoot-Out Battle 28-26 over West Coast Lions
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (March 17, 2019) -- The Inglewood Blackhawks went on the road and defeated the West Coast Lions by the score of 28-26 in a game that saw several lead changes and fireworks from the first play. The Lions scored on the first play from scrimmage with a 47 yard touchdown. From there the teams traded blows going back and forth with scoring plays. Inglewood started the game with players playing out of position but they held it down until the rest of the team arrived. WR's Justin Sydney and Billy Jordan both had scoring passes from Fuller. Jordan leads the LDFL in touchdowns and yards. Defensively the Blackhawks scored twice as well with Kendall Gordon scoring on a 70 yard scoop and score and DB Brian Flowers Jr. scoring on a 45 yard pick 6. But the game MVP went to DE Travis Taylor who single handedly destroyed the Lions with 12 tackles, 7 for loss, and 3 forced fumbles. With the win the Blackhawks moved to 8-0 overall and 6-0 in LDFL play. They will take on the So Cal Apaches this Saturday night at 7PM at Jackie Robinson Stadium. Tickets are $10.
