Fuller and Jordan Light up the Scoreboard as Inglewood Maul the Bears 52-16

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (March 3, 2019) -- QB Robert Fuller Sr had his best day as a Blackhawks as he led Inglewood to a blow-out victory over the 805 Bears by the score of 52-16. Fuller was 19 of 26 for 337 yards and 4 touchdowns as Inglewood moved to 6-0 on the season and 4-0 in LDFL play. He connected with 8 different receivers on the day throwing touchdown strikes to WR's Billy Jordan, Brandon Chambers, and Justin Sidney. Jordan had a break-out game catching 7 passes for 163 yards and 3 TD's earning the LDFL Visa Player of the Game Award. The LDFL awards it's players each week who are chosen as the Player of the Week with a Visa Gift Card. For the second time in three weeks, Jordan has scored on the first offensive play of the game. He now has a 23 game touchdown streak (regular season and playoffs) dating back to his days with his previous team. RB Kendall Gordon had another great game on the ground rushing for 68 yards and 2 beautiful touchdown runs to manage the run game. WR Devin Gage was held without a touchdown this week but still managed to account for 121 all-purpose yards while picking up 6 tackles on defense.

On defense, newcomer Hollywood Himes put on a show for the fans accounting for 10 tackles, 4 for loss, 4 sacks, and 1 pass deflection. "He put on a clinic out there yesterday and that was his first time in our defensive scheme", stated head coach Tony Reid. Himes play was so disruptful to the Bears QB that he made life easy for the rest of the defense where 7 other players had 5 or more tackles on the day. DT Shaquille Haynes (5 tackles), DT (Maurice Austin (5 tackles), DT Edwin Flores (6 tackles), DE Giovanni Herrera (6 tackles), LB Lonnie Capers (6 tackles), LB Chris Howell (5 tackles), and DB Devin Gage 5 tackles all had a solid game. The Blackhawks also had their first two blocks on the season as Chris Benson blocked a punt while Edwin Flores blocked a PAT.

The Blackhawks will be back home this weekend when they host a very hot San Diego Silverbacks team who defeated the Hi-Desert Vipers by the score of 28-0.
