Clock-Gate!! Referees run Game Clock from 2nd quarter on as Blackhawks still win, 70-0

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (February 24, 2019) -- The Blackhawks defense stripped the Vipers QB on the first play of the game and put the ball in the offense hands and they didn't disappoint as they scored in 1 minute and 42 seconds on their way to a punishing 70-0 victory over the High Desert Vipers. QB Robert Fuller Sr. once again put on a show going 10 of 20 for 290 yards and 4 TD's. This is only have 29 offensive plays as the officials demanded a running clock from the 2nd quarter on due to the frequent scoring from the Blackhawks. Running backs Kendall Gordon and Terrell Alex both scored two touchdowns each on the ground while WR's Brandon Chambers, Billy Jordan, Lejuene Moye, and Roosevelt Buck all had receiving touchdowns through the air. WR Devin Gage put on a clinic on Saturday night but you wouldn't recognize it from his stats as two of his big plays were called back due to penalties. He still managed to electrify the crowd on a huge 55 yard reception and a beautiful 95 yard punt return for a touchdown which is a new Blackhawk record. He accounted for 161 all-purpose yards.

Defensive tackle, Edwin Flores led the defense with 7 tackles 4 tackles for loss, and 1 sack. DB's Curtis Chatmon and Alex Warden both had interceptions for Inglewood while Maurice Austin, Chris Benson, and Flores all had QB sacks. Omar Ubilla added another score for Inglewood on special teams after scooping up a fumbled kickoff return and returning it for 21 yards.

The Blackhawks will travel to Thousand Oaks California this weekend where they will face the 805 Bears who were upset by the San Diego Silverbacks last weekend. Kickoff is set for 4PM at Cal Lutheran University. For ticket or fan bus information, call our team office at 310.946.9733.
