Blackhawks score on first play of the Game and never look back as they roll to 36-14 victory over Sa
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (February 10, 2019) -- QB Robert Fuller Sr. had a breakout day as he passed for 251 yards and 4 touchdowns as he led the Blackhawks to a dominating 36-14 victory over the Santa Clarita Valley Tigers in week one of the LDFL season. Fuller had scoring strikes to WR Tyrone Leekins (2), Justin Sidney (1), and Brandon Chambers (1). Sidney had a great game grabbing 5 receptions for 88 yards to lead all receivers. But the most electrifying touchdown went to WR Billy Jordan who caught a beautiful 67 yard catch and run on the first play from scrimmage from dual-athlete Dwayne Cross that seem to break the Tigers back from the start. RB Terrell Alex continues to sine in the run game as he had 12 carries for 81 yards. Fuller connected with 7 different receivers which made his game play hard to pick up by the Tigers.
Defensively the Blackhawks kept the Tigers at bey for most of the game only giving up late touchdowns mostly due to penalties. Inglewood was led by rookie SS Alex Warden who led the team with 9 tackles on the night. Warden who played at Air Force was all over the field on defense and special teams which made his play so dominant. LB Roy Otis was right behind in tackles with 4 while DT Jamarrius Martin has 4 as well while also recovering a fumble. FS Kevin Blane picked up his second interception of the year as well.
Inglewood moved to 3-0 on the season and 1-0 in LDFL play. They will take on the Compton Panthers this week at 3PM at Jackie Robinson Stadium. Although playing at their home field, the Blackhawks will be the away team. For addition league information go to www.ldflfootball.com.
