Blackhawks dominate Lions in opening preseason game with 41-0 victory.

CARSON, Calif. (January 19, 2019) -- After taking a year off away from the gridiron, the Inglewood Blackhawks returned to the field and defeated the West Coast Lions by the score of 41-0 at the StubHub Center in Carson. The Blackhawks were led by of all things, their special teams as (DB) Cory Butler-Byrd had 194 return yards returning a kick and a punt return for touchdowns to lead Inglewood. The Blackhawk offense only had the ball for 26 plays with (QB) Robert Fuller scoring one on the ground and one in the air to (WR) Lajeune Moye. The other offensive touchdown came on a 3 yard scamper up the middle by (RB) Terrell Alex.

Defensively the Blackhawks were pretty sound for this being their first game and their first day in pads. Inglewood picked off the Lions quarterback three times while racking up 6 sacks. Brian E Flowers, Mikell Mair, and Terrell Turner all had interceptions while 6 different players accounted for a sack. (LB) Devin Jones led all tacklers with 6 and one sack.
