Dotson back in Inglewood for Spring 2019 season

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (August 28, 2018) -- Hall of Fame coach Kevin Dotson, who was the Blackhawks defensive coordinator in 2006 when the Blackhawks won the first of it's 3 National Championships has been hired for the same position for the Blackhawks upcoming spring season in the LDFL. Dotson may not be known to a lot of the newer generation players at this level out here but it won't take long for teams and players to witness his pressurized style of defense. Dotson is known as a fierce competitive coach who demands a lot from his players and will hold them accountable. "I'm excited to be back in Inglewood. In years past, quite a few teams had reached out to me to come coach their teams but at this point in time I wanted to be with an organization that is stable in every aspect of the game from administration to players and I know Tone has all his I's dotted and T's crossed" stated Dotson. Me and Tone won a league and national championship together, I don't see why we can't do it again. Dotson also led the 2005 underdog Long Beach Lions to a the LCFL championship in which they defeated the Blackhawks in the playoffs and the high powered Southern California Steelers in the championship game. The Steelers were favored to win that game by 22 point and the Lions shocked the world. Dotson will have some very powerful weapons on defense to work with this spring and he can't wait to get to work. "I've already requested a copy of our potential defensive roster for the season because I'm big on personnel and packages. But above all, I'm fair. If a guy is committed, coachable, competitive, and nasty on the field, he will play in my scheme. My success comes with listening to my players because at the end of the day, there the ones on the field. If they see something that I don't that they think will work, I trust them and we'll make it work. Damn it feels good to be back in the Wood. The Blackhawks season kicks off February 9, 2019.
