Rogers Looks Primed for a Great 2011 Season
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (May 15, 2011) -- Last season running back Trey Rogers shared playing time with two other phenominal backs in Brian Flowers and Ronald Jean. Between all three of them, they led the LCFL in rushing. But with 2011 looming and Flowers playing elsewhere via free agency and Jean still preparing himself for another season, Rogers showed up to camp with one thing in mind and that's to become the #1 back. Rogers who recently re-located from San Luis Obispo to Bakersfield has shed 10 pounds from last season (240 to 230) and also has put on a little more muscle mass, looks like a man on a mission. "Last season I played my part and contributed when the team needed me to, but this season I'm gonna be a little greedy and earn the trust to be the feature back", stated Rogers. Rogers came to the Blackhawks last season from the San Luis Obispo Panthers where he was a two time 1,000 yard rusher. He earned his respect in the LCFL three seasons ago in the LCFL All-star game when he rushed for 172 yards on 15 carries. Look for great things this season from Rogers and his Blackhawk teammates.
